The Boys Ranch Roughriders basketball team (Boys Ranch, TX), dropped 53-37 in Wednesday's league battle with the visiting Vega Longhorns (Vega, TX)

The Longhorns now possess a 7-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Highland Park for a 2A Region I District 3 battle on Friday, January 27. Vega will confront a Hornets team coming off a 51-41 league loss to Bovina (Bovina, TX). The Hornets record now stands at 3-15.

The Roughriders (6-12) will now prepare for their battle against Panhandle (Panhandle, TX). The Panthers come into the 2A Region I District 3 battle with a 14-1 record. In their last battle, Panhandle beat Farwell (Farwell, TX), 50-42, in a league battle.
