New Jersey High School Basketball - North Star Academy fells University
January 25, 2024: Newark, NJ 07102 North Star Academy (Newark, NJ) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting University Phoenix (Newark, NJ), 65-57 in a league bout.
With the win, North Star Academy upgrades its record to 6-9 on the season. The travel to Newark Tech (Newark, NJ) to play the Terries in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 27. The Terries go into the bout with a record of 8-5. Newark Tech won 63-55 in their recent non-league bout against Columbia (Maplewood, NJ)
Next up, the Phoenix face the West Essex Knights (North Caldwell, NJ) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, January 30. University will attempt to move on its 7-8 season record. The Knights enter the game with a 6-8 record after their 65-46 non-league loss to Caldwell (West Caldwell, NJ).
