Groves Rebels (Garden City, GA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Beach Bulldogs (Savannah, GA), 52-45 in a league bout.

With the win, Groves upgrades its record to 5-7 on the season. The Rebels travel to Johnson (Savannah, GA) to play the Atomsmashers in a AAA Region 3 bout on Friday, January 29. The Atomsmashers go into the bout with a record of 11-2. Johnson lost 69-65 in their recent league bout against Windsor Forest (Savannah, GA)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Southeast Bulloch Yellowjackets (Brooklet, GA) in a AAA Region 3 bout, on Friday, January 29. Beach will attempt to upgrade on its 6-9 season record. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a 6-4 record after their 70-47 league win over Liberty County (Hinesville, GA).
