Ellington Knights (Ellington, CT) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Cheney RVT Beavers (Manchester, CT), 74-54 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Ellington upgrades its record to 10-3 on the season. The Knights travel to Bolton (Bolton, CT) to play the Bulldogs in a North Central Connecticut bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 6-7. Bolton won 52-38 in their recent league bout against Granby Memorial (Granby, CT)

Next up, the Beavers play the Vinal RVT Hawks (Middletown, CT) in a Connecticut Technical - Central bout, on Friday, January 27. Cheney RVT will attempt to upgrade on its 8-5 season record.
