Virginia High School Basketball - Nandua fells Chincoteague

January 26, 2023: Chincoteague, VA 23336

Nandua Warriors (Onley, VA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Chincoteague Ponies (Chincoteague, VA), 71-51 in a league bout.

With the win, Nandua upgrades its record to 10-4 on the season. The Warriors travel to Pocomoke (Pocomoke, MD) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Friday, January 27. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 7-6. Pocomoke won 81-35 in their recent league bout against Crisfield (Crisfield, MD)

Next up, the Ponies play the Northampton Yellowjackets (Eastville, VA) in a Eastern Shore bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Chincoteague will attempt to upgrade on its 6-6 season record. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a 13-6 record after their 60-45 non-league loss to Maury (Norfolk, VA).
