Brackett Tigers (Brackettville, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host La Pryor Bulldogs (La Pryor, TX), 44-29 in a league bout.

With the win, Brackett upgrades its record to 14-11 on the season. The Tigers host Stockdale (Stockdale, TX) to play the Brahmas in a 2A Region IV District 30 bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Brahmas go into the bout with a record of 6-14. Stockdale lost 55-38 in their recent league bout against Stacey (San Antonio, TX)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Falls City Beavers (Falls City, TX) in a 2A Region IV District 30 bout, on Tuesday, January 30. La Pryor will attempt to upgrade on its 0-18 season record. The Beavers go into the bout with a 7-12 record after their 62-37 league loss to Sabinal (Sabinal, TX).
