Burroughs Bears (Burbank, CA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Hoover Tornados (Glendale, CA), 67-63 in a league bout.

With the victory, Burroughs upgrades its record to 14-12 on the campaign. The Bears host Muir (Pasadena, CA) to play the Mustangs in a Pacific bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Mustangs come into the bout with a record of 7-17. Muir lost 75-55 in their recent league bout against Arcadia (Arcadia, CA)

Next up, the Tornados play the Burbank Bulldogs (Burbank, CA) in a Pacific bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Hoover will attempt to upgrade on its 12-11 season record. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a 5-21 record after their 65-54 league loss to Crescenta Valley (La Crescenta, CA).
