Michigan High School Basketball - Hancock holds off Calumet
January 26, 2024: Calumet, MI 49913 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Hancock Bulldogs (Hancock, MI) and the host Calumet Copper Kings (Calumet, MI), saw Hancock's basketball squad hold off Calumet by a tally of 37-35.
With the victory, Hancock improves its record to 4-9 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Wright (Ironwood, MI) to confront the Red Devils in a non-league challenge on Monday, January 29. The Red Devils come into the challenge with a record of 7-6. Wright won 53-34 in their recent non-league challenge against Baraga (Baraga, MI)
Next up, the Copper Kings confront the Ontonagon Gladiators (Ontonagon, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. Calumet will attempt to improve on its 6-6 season record. The Gladiators come into the challenge with a 5-10 record after their 72-60 non-league win over L'Anse (L'Anse, MI).
