The De Leon Bearcats basketball team scored 39 points and restricted the host Hico Tigers to 36 in the Bearcats league victory on Friday.

The Bearcats now sport a 12-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host Tolar for a 2A Region II District 11 contest on Tuesday, January 30.

The Tigers (10-15) will now prepare for their contest against Poolville (Poolville, TX). The Monarchs come into the 2A Region II District 11 contest with a 23-5 record. In their last contest, Poolville edged Santo (Santo, TX), 78-39, in a league contest.
