Oklahoma High School Basketball - Elgin holds off Shawnee
January 26, 2024: Shawnee, OK 74801 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Elgin Owls (Elgin, OK) and the host Shawnee Wolves (Shawnee, OK), saw Elgin's basketball squad hold off Shawnee by a tally of 56-50.
With the victory, Elgin improves its record to 8-9 on the campaign. The Owls host Carl Albert (Midwest City, OK) to confront the Titans in a 5A District 1 challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Titans come into the challenge with a record of 13-5. Carl Albert won 75-57 in their recent league challenge against El Reno (El Reno, OK)
Next up, the Wolves confront the El Reno Indians (El Reno, OK) in a 5A District 1 challenge, on Monday, January 29. Shawnee will attempt to improve on its 6-10 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 11-5 record after their 78-23 league win over Altus (Altus, OK).
