The Weatherly basketball team (Weatherly, PA), was overwhelmed 71-32 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Mahanoy Area Golden Bears (Mahanoy City, PA)

The Golden Bears now possess a 18-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wyoming Seminary College Prep for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 27.

The (2-14) will now prepare for their battle against Minersville (Minersville, PA). The Battlin' Miners come into the Schuylkill County 2 battle with a 11-7 record. In their last battle, Minersville trounced Our Lady of Lourdes Regional (Coal Township, PA), 62-33, in a league battle.
