Maple Grove Crimson (Maple Grove, MN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Rogers Royals (Rogers, MN), 63-60 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Maple Grove upgrades its record to 9-7 on the season. The Crimson travel to Spring Lake Park (Spring Lake Park, MN) to play the Panthers in a AAAA Section 5 bout on Thursday, February 1. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 8-7.

Next up, the Royals play the Blaine Bengals (Blaine, MN) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Rogers will attempt to upgrade on its 14-4 season record. The Bengals go into the bout with a 4-13 record after their 97-61 non-league loss to Totino-Grace (Fridley, MN).
