Kentucky High School Basketball - Russell County tipped by Mercer County
January 26, 2024: Harrodsburg, KY 40330 The Mercer County Titans basketball team scored 54 points and held the visiting Russell County Lakers to 51 in the Titans non-league triumph on Friday.
The Titans now sport a 12-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to East Jessamine for a District 46 contest on Tuesday, January 30. Mercer County will meet a Jaguars team coming off a 62-59 league win over West Jessamine (Nicholasville, KY). The Jaguars record now stands at 12-9.
Next up, the Lakers play the Metcalfe County Hornets (Edmonton, KY) in a District 16 bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Russell County will attempt to upgrade on its 10-9 season record. The Hornets come into the bout with a 7-11 record after their 72-50 non-league win over Russellville (Russellville, KY).
