February 13, 2024: Danville, KY 40422 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Russell County Lakers (Russell Springs, KY) and the host Danville Admirals (Danville, KY), saw Russell County's basketball squad overcome Danville by a tally of 53-44.
With the victory, Russell County improves its record to 13-11 on the campaign. The Lakers travel to Clinton County (Albany, KY) to confront the Bulldogs in a District 16 challenge on Wednesday, February 14. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 17-10.
Next up, the Admirals confront the Nelson County Cardinals (Bardstown, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, February 15. Danville will attempt to improve on its 5-18 season record. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a 7-16 record after their 59-57 non-league loss to John Hardin (Elizabethtown, KY).
