South Dakota High School Basketball - Warner fells Waubay/Summit
January 26, 2024: Waubay, SD 57273 Warner Monarchs (Warner, SD) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Waubay/Summit Mustangs (Waubay, SD), 53-40 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Warner upgrades its record to 12-1 on the season. The Monarchs host Sully Buttes (Onida, SD) to clash with the Chargers in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 27. The Chargers go into the bout with a record of 6-6. Sully Buttes won 49-40 in their recent non-league bout against Hitchcock-Tulare (Tulare, SD)
Next up, the Mustangs clash with the Langford Lions (Langford, SD) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 29. Waubay/Summit will attempt to upgrade on its 7-5 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 6-8 record after their 53-43 league loss to Northwestern Area (Mellette, SD).
