Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Warner Monarchs (Warner, SD) and the host Northwestern Area Wildcats (Mellette, SD), saw Warner's basketball squad knock off Northwestern Area by a tally of 48-40.

With the victory, Warner improves its record to 4-0 on the campaign. The Monarchs travel to Deubrook (White, SD) to play the Dolphins in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 29. The Dolphins come into the challenge with a record of 3-2.

Next up, the Wildcats play the Waverly/South Shore Coyotes (Waverly, SD) in a B Region 1 challenge, on Thursday, December 21. Northwestern Area will attempt to improve on its 2-2 season record.
