St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute Marauders (Buffalo, NY) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting St. Mary's Lancers (Lancaster, NY), 66-49 in a league bout.

With the victory, St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute upgrades its record to 7-1 on the campaign. The Marauders host Bishop Timon-St. Jude (Buffalo, NY) to play the Tigers in a bout on Monday, January 29. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 7-4. Bishop Timon-St. Jude lost 76-66 in their recent non-league bout against Canisius (Buffalo, NY)

Next up, the Lancers play the St. Francis Red Raiders (Hamburg, NY) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 29. St. Mary's will attempt to upgrade on its 8-4 season record.
