New York High School Basketball - St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute nips Canisius

St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute Marauders (Buffalo, NY) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Canisius Crusaders (Buffalo, NY), 54-48 in a league bout.

With the win, St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute upgrades its record to 2-1 on the season. The Marauders travel to Bishop Timon-St. Jude (Buffalo, NY) to play the Tigers in a bout on Thursday, January 4. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 4-2. Bishop Timon-St. Jude won 58-44 in their recent non-league bout against Pioneer (Yorkshire, NY)

Next up, the Crusaders play the Nichols Vikings (Buffalo, NY) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 4. Canisius will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Vikings go into the bout with a 4-2 record after their 63-58 non-league win over Amherst Central (Amherst, NY).
