Maryland High School Basketball - Linganore overwhelms Catoctin
January 27, 2022: Frederick, MD 21701 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Linganore Lancers (Frederick, MD) and the visiting Catoctin Cougars (Thurmont, MD), saw Linganore's basketball squad wallop Catoctin by a tally of 92-48.
With the victory, Linganore improves its record to 12-1 on the campaign. The Lancers host Urbana (Ijamsville, MD) to confront the Hawks in a CMC challenge on Friday, January 28. The Hawks come into the challenge with a record of 5-8. Urbana won 77-73 in their recent non-league challenge against Liberty (Sykesville, MD)
Next up, the Cougars confront the Brunswick Railroaders (Brunswick, MD) in a CMC challenge, on Tuesday, February 1. Catoctin will attempt to improve on its 0-12 season record. The Railroaders come into the challenge with a 1-11 record after their 70-30 league loss to Walkersville (Walkersville, MD).
