Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Irvington Vikings (Fremont, CA) and the visiting Kennedy Titans (Fremont, CA), saw Irvington's basketball squad hold off Kennedy by a tally of 55-54.

With the victory, Irvington improves its record to 8-13 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Newark Memorial (Newark, CA) to confront the Cougars in a Mission Valley challenge on Monday, January 30. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 6-15. Newark Memorial lost 59-46 in their recent league challenge against American (Fremont, CA)
