The Mercyhurst Prep Lakers basketball team scored 66 points and held the visiting Northwestern Wildcats to 36 in the Lakers league triumph on Friday.

The Lakers now sport a 7-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Seneca for a District 10 Region 3 contest on Tuesday, January 31. Mercyhurst Prep will battle a Bobcats team coming off a 52-37 non-league loss to Fairview (Fairview, PA). The Bobcats record now stands at 7-7.

The Wildcats (1-11) will now prepare for their contest against North East (North East, PA). The Grape Pickers enter the District 10 Region 3 contest with a 8-7 record. In their last contest, North East was routed by Girard (Girard, PA), 54-38, in a league contest.
