The Northwestern Area Wildcats basketball team scored 48 points and restricted the visiting Langford Lions to 22 in the Wildcats league victory on Friday.

The Wildcats now sport a 7-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Potter County co-op [Gettysburg/Hoven] for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 28. Northwestern Area will battle a Battlers team coming off a 53-38 non-league win over North Central (Eureka, SD). The Battlers record now stands at 8-3.

The Lions (2-11) will now prepare for their contest against Waubay/Summit (Waubay, SD). The Mustangs come into the non-league contest with a 6-6 record. In their last contest, Waubay/Summit was routed by Warner (Warner, SD), 59-54, in a non-league contest.
