Indiana High School Basketball - Center Grove holds off Avon

January 27, 2024: Avon, IN 46123

Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Center Grove Trojans (Greenwood, IN) and the host Avon Orioles (Avon, IN), saw Center Grove's basketball squad hold off Avon by a tally of 56-53.

With the victory, Center Grove improves its record to 11-4 on the campaign. The Trojans host Floyd Central (Floyds Knobs, IN) to confront the Highlanders in a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 3. The Highlanders come into the challenge with a record of 6-9.

Next up, the Orioles confront the Zionsville Eagles (Zionsville, IN) in a Hoosier Crossroads challenge, on Thursday, February 1. Avon will attempt to improve on its 11-7 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 9-8 record after their 61-52 non-league win over Pike (Indianapolis, IN).
