The Cedar Creek Cougars basketball team scored 72 points and held the visiting Georgetown Bulldogs to 71 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Cougars now sport a 12-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Frederick for a 1A District 2 contest on Tuesday, January 30. Cedar Creek will battle a Warriors team coming off a 83-58 non-league loss to Pineville (Pineville, LA). The Warriors record now stands at 10-10.

The Bulldogs (20-10) will now prepare for their contest against Calvin (Calvin, LA). The Cougars enter the C District 2 contest with a 15-12 record. In their last contest, Calvin nudged Central (Jonesville, LA), 84-46, in a league contest.
