Maine High School Basketball - Messalonskee nips Skowhegan
January 27, 2024: Skowhegan, ME 04976 Messalonskee Eagles (Oakland, ME) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Skowhegan River Hawks (Skowhegan, ME), 60-58 in a league bout.
With the win, Messalonskee upgrades its record to 11-4 on the season. The Eagles travel to Cony (Augusta, ME) to play the Rams in a A North bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Rams go into the bout with a record of 6-8.
Next up, the River Hawks play the Brewer Witches (Brewer, ME) in a A North bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Skowhegan will attempt to upgrade on its 4-10 season record. The Witches go into the bout with a 4-10 record after their 56-50 league loss to Messalonskee (Oakland, ME).
