New Mexico High School Basketball - Springer overwhelms Maxwell
January 27, 2024: Springer, NM 87747 Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Springer Red Devils (Springer, NM) and the visiting Maxwell Bears (Maxwell, NM), saw Springer's basketball squad wallop Maxwell by a tally of 58-35.
With the victory, Springer improves its record to 10-7 on the campaign. The Red Devils travel to Roy/Mosquero (Roy, NM) to play the Longhorn in a A District 5 challenge on Saturday, February 3. The Longhorn come into the challenge with a record of 16-1.
Next up, the Bears play the Raton Tigers (Raton, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 29. Maxwell will attempt to improve on its 3-9 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 0-16 record after their 50-4 non-league loss to Clayton (Clayton, NM).
