The crowd at Monday's league challenge between the Faith Christian Patriots (Rocky Mount, NC) and the host Kerr-Vance Academy Spartans (Henderson, NC), observed Faith Christian's basketball team knock off Kerr-Vance Academy by a score of 56-38.

The Patriots (6-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Harrells Christian Academy (Harrells, NC). The Crusaders come into the NCISAA Carolina Independent challenge with a 24-2 record. In their last challenge, Harrells Christian Academy prevailed over Halifax Academy (Roanoke Rapids, NC), 67-21, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Spartans encounter the Oak Forest Warriors (Wake Forest, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 28. Kerr-Vance Academy will attempt to improve on its 2-18 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 20-11 record after their 63-44 league loss to New Life Camp (Raleigh, NC).
