January 27, 2025: Georgetown, GA 39854 The Mitchell County Eagles (Camilla, GA) basketball crushed the host Quitman County Hornets (Georgetown, GA), 77-36 in Monday's league bout.
The Eagles now possess a 11-9 record. They play next when they host Stewart County for a A D2 Region 1 bout on Tuesday, January 28. Mitchell County will play a Royal Knights team coming off a 68-48 league win over Baker County (Newton, GA). The Royal Knights record now stands at 2-12.
With the loss, Quitman County falls to 4-14 on the campaign. The Hornets host Pelham (Pelham, GA) to play the Hornets in a A D2 Region 1 bout on Thursday, January 30. The Hornets go into the bout with a record of 7-8. Pelham won 61-56 in their recent league bout against Seminole County (Donalsonville, GA)
