Georgia High School Basketball - Miller County triumphant over Quitman County
December 17, 2024: Colquitt, GA 39837 The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Miller County Pirates (Colquitt, GA) and the visiting Quitman County Hornets (Georgetown, GA), observed Miller County's basketball team overwhelm Quitman County by a score of 84-52.
The Pirates (2-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Pelham (Pelham, GA). The Hornets come into the A D2 Region 1 challenge with a 3-3 record. In their last challenge, Pelham trounced Seminole County (Donalsonville, GA), 48-44, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Hornets encounter the Terrell County Greenwave (Dawson, GA) in a A D2 Region 1 challenge, on Friday, December 20. Quitman County will attempt to improve on its 4-7 season record. The Greenwave come into the challenge with a 3-6 record after their 94-41 league loss to Calhoun County (Edison, GA).
