The Barnwell Warhorses (Barnwell, SC) basketball knocked off the host Pelion Panthers (Pelion, SC), 61-49 in Friday's league test.

The Warhorses (6-7) will now prepare for their test against Edisto (Cordova, SC). The Cougars go into the AA Region 5 test with a 8-4 record. In their last test, Edisto notched a victory over Wade Hampton (Hampton, SC), 44-43, in a league test.

The Panthers now own a 1-6 record. They play next when they travel to Silver Bluff for a AA Region 5 test on Tuesday, February 1. Pelion will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 50-33 non-league loss to Airport (West Columbia, SC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-9.
