New Mexico High School Basketball - Magdalena overwhelms Cliff
January 28, 2023: Cliff, NM 88028 Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Magdalena Steers (Magdalena, NM) and the host Cliff Cowboys/Cowgirls (Cliff, NM), saw Magdalena's basketball squad wallop Cliff by a tally of 69-44.
With the victory, Magdalena improves its record to 20-0 on the campaign. The Steers host Quemado (Quemado, NM) to confront the Eagles in a A District 2 challenge on Thursday, February 2. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 10-9. Quemado won 52-46 in their recent league challenge against Animas (Animas, NM)
Next up, the Cowboys/Cowgirls confront the Reserve Mountaineers (Reserve, NM) in a A District 2 challenge, on Thursday, February 2. Cliff will attempt to improve on its 14-4 season record. The Mountaineers come into the challenge with a 4-15 record after their 51-28 league loss to Mesilla Valley Christian School (Las Cruces, NM).
