New Mexico High School Basketball - Magdalena overwhelms Mesilla Valley Christian School
February 9, 2023: Las Cruces, NM 88001 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Magdalena Steers (Magdalena, NM) and the host Mesilla Valley Christian School SonBlazers (Las Cruces, NM), saw Magdalena's basketball squad wallop Mesilla Valley Christian School by a count of 68-41.
With the victory, Magdalena upgrades its record to 24-0 on the campaign. The Steers host Animas (Animas, NM) to play the Panthers in a A District 2 challenge on Saturday, February 11. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 6-15. Animas won 42-37 in their recent league challenge against Reserve (Reserve, NM)
Next up, the SonBlazers play the Cliff Cowboys/Cowgirls (Cliff, NM) in a A District 2 challenge, on Saturday, February 11. Mesilla Valley Christian School will attempt to upgrade on its 11-8 season record. The Cowboys/Cowgirls come into the challenge with a 17-4 record after their 46-33 league win over Quemado (Quemado, NM).
