The Mesilla Valley Christian School SonBlazers basketball team scored 51 points and restricted the host Reserve Mountaineers to 28 in the SonBlazers league victory on Saturday.

The SonBlazers now sport a 9-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Animas for a A District 2 contest on Thursday, February 2. Mesilla Valley Christian School will battle a Panthers team coming off a 52-46 league loss to Quemado (Quemado, NM). The Panthers record now stands at 5-12.

The Mountaineers (4-15) will now prepare for their contest against Cliff (Cliff, NM). The Cowboys/Cowgirls come into the A District 2 contest with a 14-4 record. In their last contest, Cliff was routed by Magdalena (Magdalena, NM), 69-44, in a league contest.
