New Mexico High School Basketball - Mesilla Valley Christian School overwhelms Animas
February 16, 2023: Animas, NM 88020 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Mesilla Valley Christian School SonBlazers (Las Cruces, NM) and the host Animas Panthers (Animas, NM), saw Mesilla Valley Christian School's basketball squad wallop Animas by a tally of 56-35.
With the victory, Mesilla Valley Christian School improves its record to 12-9 on the campaign. The SonBlazers host Reserve (Reserve, NM) to confront the Mountaineers in a A District 2 challenge on Friday, February 17. The Mountaineers come into the challenge with a record of 4-19. Reserve lost 43-19 in their recent league challenge against Quemado (Quemado, NM)
Next up, the Panthers confront the Quemado Eagles (Quemado, NM) in a A District 2 challenge, on Monday, February 20. Animas will attempt to improve on its 6-18 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 13-13 record after their 62-35 non-league win over Carrizozo (Carrizozo, NM).
