New Jersey High School Basketball - Irvington tops West Essex
January 28, 2023: Irvington, NJ 07111 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Irvington Blue Knights (Irvington, NJ) and the visiting West Essex Knights (North Caldwell, NJ), saw Irvington's basketball squad knock off West Essex by a count of 60-50.
With the victory, Irvington upgrades its record to 16-4 on the campaign. The Blue Knights host University (Newark, NJ) to play the Phoenix in a Super Essex - American challenge on Tuesday, January 31. The Phoenix come into the challenge with a record of 0-13. University lost 42-35 in their recent league challenge against North Star Academy (Newark, NJ)
Next up, the Knights play the Orange Tornadoes (Orange, NJ) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 31. West Essex will attempt to upgrade on its 12-3 season record.
