January 28, 2023: Moriarty, NM 87035 In Saturday's league outing, the Pojoaque Valley Elks/Elkettes (Pojoaque, NM) basketball squad overcame the host Moriarty Pintos (Moriarty, NM), by a tally of 90-70.
With the victory, Pojoaque Valley improves its record to 13-8 on the campaign. The Elks/Elkettes travel to Los Alamos (Los Alamos, NM) to play the Hilltoppers in a 4A District 2 challenge on Tuesday, January 31. The Hilltoppers come into the challenge with a record of 8-12. Los Alamos won 64-59 in their recent league challenge against Taos (Taos, NM)
Next up, the Pintos play the Robertson Cardinals (Las Vegas, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 30. Moriarty will attempt to improve on its 7-14 season record. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a 16-3 record after their 60-30 league loss to St. Michael's (Santa Fe, NM).
