Louisiana High School Basketball - Byrd trounced by Parkway
January 28, 2025: Bossier City, LA 71112 Parkway Panthers (Bossier City, LA) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Byrd Yellow Jackets (Shreveport, LA), 66-43 in a league match.
With the victory, Parkway advances its record to 15-10 on the year. The Panthers travel to Haughton (Haughton, LA) to face the Buccaneers in a 5A District 1 match on Friday, January 31. The Buccaneers enter the match with a record of 26-9. Haughton won 56-54 in their recent league match against Airline (Bossier City, LA)
The Yellow Jackets now own a 5-20 record. They put it on the line next when they host Benton for a 5A District 1 match on Friday, January 31. Byrd will face a Tigers squad coming off a 62-34 league loss to Natchitoches Central (Natchitoches, LA). The Tigers record now stands at 18-18.
