The Calhoun City Wildcats basketball team scored 68 points and limited the visiting Shannon Red Raiders to 52 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Wildcats now possess a 16-9 record. They play next when they travel to Houston for a non-league game on Friday, January 31. Calhoun City will confront a Hilltoppers team coming off a 54-47 league loss to Greenwood (Greenwood, MS). The Hilltoppers record now stands at 11-15.

With the loss, Shannon falls to 9-12 on the campaign. The Red raiders host Itawamba Agricultural (Fulton, MS) to confront the Indians in a 4A Region 1 game on Friday, January 31. The Indians go into the game with a record of 11-7.
