North Carolina High School Basketball - Gaston Christian overwhelms Hickory Grove Christian

The Gaston Christian Eagles basketball team scored 74 points and limited the visiting Hickory Grove Christian Lions to 42 in the Eagles league triumph on Tuesday.

The Eagles now have a 19-7 record. They play next when they host Carmel Christian for a non-league game on Friday, January 31. Gaston Christian will confront a Cougars team coming off a 48-47 non-league loss to Ambassador Christian School (Huntersville, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 15-6.

With the loss, Hickory Grove Christian falls to 11-11 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Concord Academy (Concord, NC) to confront the Eagles in a NCISAA Metrolina game on Friday, January 31. The Eagles go into the game with a record of 26-3. Concord Academy won 76-37 in their recent league game against SouthLake Christian Academy (Huntersville, NC)
