January 28, 2025: Colfax, IL 61728 Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley Falcons (Gibson City, IL) supporters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Ridgeview Mustangs (Colfax, IL), 64-49 in a league match.
With the victory, Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley advances its record to 13-8 on the year. The Falcons travel to Deer Creek-Mackinaw (Mackinaw, IL) to face the Chiefs in a Heart of Illinois match on Friday, January 31. The Chiefs enter the match with a record of 9-14. Deer Creek-Mackinaw won 64-36 in their recent non-league match against Cornerstone Christian (Bloomington, IL)
The Mustangs now own a 7-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to LeRoy for a Heart of Illinois match on Friday, January 31. Ridgeview will face a Panthers squad coming off a 46-44 league loss to Tremont (Tremont, IL). The Panthers record now stands at 14-7.
