Kentucky High School Basketball - Greenup County holds off Wheelersburg
January 28, 2025: Greenup, KY 41144 The Greenup County Musketeers basketball team scored 55 points and limited the visiting Wheelersburg Pirates to 52 in the Musketeers non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Musketeers now have a 5-11 record. They play next when they host East Carter for a non-league game on Thursday, January 30. Greenup County will confront a Raiders team coming off a 42-38 league win over Elliott County (Sandy Hook, KY). The Raiders record now stands at 5-8.
With the loss, Wheelersburg falls to 6-7 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Waverly (Waverly, OH) to confront the Tigers in a Southern Ohio III game on Friday, January 31. The Tigers go into the game with a record of 7-8. Waverly lost 52-50 in their recent non-league game against Eastern (Sardinia, OH)
