In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host Hammond Central Wolves basketball team scored a close 70-64 triumph over the Hammond Bishop Noll Warriors.

The Wolves (7-10) will now prepare for their contest against Chesterton (Chesterton, IN). The Trojans go into the non-league contest with a 8-7 record.

In their next game, the Warriors battle the Wheeler Bearcats (Valparaiso, IN) in a Greater South Shore contest, on Friday, January 31. Hammond Bishop Noll will attempt to better on its 7-12 season record. The Bearcats go into the contest with a 9-5 record after their 53-51 non-league loss to Hebron (Hebron, IN).
