Virginia High School Basketball - Lancaster sneaks past Westmoreland
January 28, 2025: Montross, VA 22520 The Lancaster Red Devils (Lancaster, VA) basketball edged the host Westmoreland Eagles (Montross, VA), 51-47 in Tuesday's league bout.
The Red Devils now possess a 8-6 record. They play next when they travel to Rappahannock for a Northern Neck bout on Friday, January 31. Lancaster will play a Raiders team coming off a 50-47 league loss to Colonial Beach (Colonial Beach, VA). The Raiders record now stands at 1-11.
With the loss, Westmoreland falls to 9-7 on the campaign. The Eagles host Northumberland (Heathsville, VA) to play the Indians in a Northern Neck bout on Friday, January 31. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 7-3. Northumberland lost 59-49 in their recent league bout against Essex (Tappahannock, VA)
