West Virginia High School Basketball - Brooke holds off Magnolia
January 29, 2022: New Martinsville, WV 26155 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Brooke Bruins (Wellsburg, WV) and the host Magnolia Blue Eagles (New Martinsville, WV), saw Brooke's basketball squad hold off Magnolia by a tally of 56-50.
With the victory, Brooke improves its record to 9-4 on the campaign. The Bruins host Oak Glen (New Cumberland, WV) to confront the Golden Bears in a Ohio Valley AAAA challenge on Wednesday, February 2. The Golden Bears come into the challenge with a record of 3-11.
Next up, the Blue Eagles confront the Tyler Knights (Sistersville, WV) in a Ohio Valley AAA challenge, on Monday, January 31. Magnolia will attempt to improve on its 4-8 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 7-5 record after their 61-45 league win over Clay-Battelle (Blacksville, WV).
