January 29, 2024: Marion, WI 54950 The Iola-Scandinavia Thunderbirds (Iola, WI) basketball knocked off the host Marion Mustangs (Marion, WI), 59-47 in Monday's non-league test.
The Thunderbirds (6-9) will now prepare for their test against Amherst (Amherst, WI). The Falcons go into the Central Wisconsin - East test with a 6-11 record. In their last test, Amherst went down by Bonduel (Bonduel, WI), 68-45, in a league test.
The Mustangs now own a 10-8 record. They play next when they travel to Northland Lutheran for a Central Wisconsin - North test on Tuesday, January 30. Marion will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 73-56 non-league loss to Port Edwards (Port Edwards, WI). The Wildcats record now stands at 5-8.
