The Valley Vikings basketball team (Las Vegas, NV), was overwhelmed 52-18 in Monday's non-league battle with the host Canyon Springs Pioneers (North Las Vegas, NV)

The Pioneers now possess a 16-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sunrise Mountain for a 4A Desert battle on Wednesday, January 31. Canyon Springs will confront a Miners team coming off a 47-3 non-league win over Chaparral (Las Vegas, NV). The Miners record now stands at 15-10.

The Vikings (13-8) will now prepare for their battle against Southeast Career Tech (Las Vegas, NV). The Roadrunners come into the 4A Sky battle with a 10-13 record. In their last battle, Southeast Career Tech trounced Amplus Academy (Las Vegas, NV), 65-13, in a league battle.
