In Wednesday's non-league test, the Metro-East Lutheran Knights (Edwardsville, IL) basketball squad trounced the visiting SIUE East St. Louis Charter Cougars (East St. Louis, IL), by a score of 74-46.

Next, the Knights encounter the Father McGivney Catholic Griffins (Glen Carbon, IL) in a Gateway test, on Tuesday, February 4. Metro-East Lutheran will attempt to improve on its 12-9 season record. The Griffins come into the test with a 12-12 record after their 66-49 non-league win over Valmeyer (Valmeyer, IL).
