January 29, 2025: Christopher, IL 62822 The crowd at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Christopher Bearcats (Christopher, IL) and the visiting Shawnee Redskins (Wolf Lake, IL), observed Christopher's basketball team knock off Shawnee by a score of 52-42.
The Bearcats (11-14) will now prepare for their challenge against Wayne City (Wayne City, IL). The Indians come into the non-league challenge with a 2-9 record. In their last challenge, Wayne City was knocked off by Gallatin County (Junction, IL), 59-40, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Redskins encounter the Trico Pioneers (Campbell Hill, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 30. Shawnee will attempt to improve on its 12-4 season record. The Pioneers come into the challenge with a 12-6 record after their 42-39 non-league win over Sparta (Sparta, IL).
