New Jersey High School Basketball - Becton ripped by St. Mary
January 30, 2023: Rutherford, NJ 07070 The St. Mary Gaels basketball team scored 80 points and held the visiting Becton Wildcats to 45 in the Gaels league triumph on Monday.
The Gaels now sport a 13-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host DePaul Catholic for a non-league contest on Wednesday, February 1. St. Mary will battle a Spartans team coming off a 66-46 league loss to Don Bosco Prep (Ramsey, NJ). The Spartans record now stands at 7-7.
The Wildcats (6-9) will now prepare for their contest against Hasbrouck Heights (Hasbrouck Heights, NJ). The Aviators enter the North Jersey - Division 5 contest with a 11-4 record. In their last contest, Hasbrouck Heights triumphed over Wallington (Wallington, NJ), 75-46, in a league contest.
