Illinois High School Basketball - El Paso-Gridley can't hold off Reed-Custer
January 30, 2023: Braidwood, IL 60408 The Reed-Custer Comets basketball team scored 60 points and held the visiting El Paso-Gridley Titans to 56 in the Comets non-league triumph on Monday.
The Comets now sport a 20-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Peotone for a Illinois Central 8 contest on Wednesday, February 1. Reed-Custer will battle a Blue Devils team coming off a 49-35 non-league win over Woodland (Streator, IL). The Blue Devils record now stands at 13-10.
The Titans (12-12) will now prepare for their contest against Tremont (Tremont, IL). The Turks enter the Heart of Illinois contest with a 14-10 record. In their last contest, Tremont was nudged by Eureka (Eureka, IL), 70-49, in a league contest.
